On the hunt for every last watt

Team Katusha is tireless when it comes to gaining more performance for less effort and Canyon is always there to help seek out those crucial advantages. Every single watt saved improves an athlete’s endurance and overall speed so it’s no surprise that teams these days deploy all resources available to them in order to make their riders and equipment even quicker. Canyon Team Liaison Manager, Andreas Walzer, plus a mechanic from our R&D department were on hand at Magny Cours in France to oversee a wind tunnel test with selected riders from Team Katusha. The purpose of the test was to analyse and improve the riders’ performance by trying different helmet models, various skinsuits as well as altering the highly versatile cockpit on the Speedmax CF.
