After nine tough stages of racing at the 2013 Giro d’Italia, Katusha Team gets a rest day under sunny skies in northern Italy. The team morale is great after Luca Paolini’s stage win and five days in Maglia Rosa, plus Max Belkov’s big win in Firenze.
The schedule includes a short ride for one hour after breakfast for the riders and lots of work for the mechanics to clean and prepare the Canyon team bikes for the Giro’s first mountain stage.
After the ride, some lunch, massage and sleep for the Katusha Team riders, while there is still more work for the mechanics. Riders love rest day because they can have a nice visit with the family.
After dinner and early night they are ready for battle on Stage 10.
